How to survive wedding season without a plus one!

It’s about that time when save-the-dates and wedding invitations come flooding in! Wedding season is so much fun, but it can also be a little stressful especially when you are single and without a plus one for these events. Here is our go-to advice and survival guide for killing the wedding circuit this year!

Find out if you know other people attending the wedding. Chances are you are going to know at least one other person going as well, and it’s a good idea to reach out to them beforehand to see what their plans are. Ask the couple if there will be anyone else that you will know attending or even if they know someone that you might get along with. It will be a relief to see one friendly face there.

Wear something that makes you feel most confident. If you look good, you will feel good! And you never know who you might meet at the singles table!

Mingle! Make a point to meet new people. Arrive a little early and mingle before the ceremony! Love is in the air -- try to talk to a few friendly faces!

Sit next to someone new. At the ceremony sit next to someone that you don’t know. This is an easy way to meet new friends because you can bond over how special the ceremony is.

Sitting at the singles table is not a bad thing! You will be able to get to know all the other people who are in the same position as you are, and you might even be able to pick out a good dance partner. 

Chat with the couples. If you aren’t at a singles table, you can still have a great time talking to and meeting people. The good thing is that you all have at least one thing in common – the happy couple! 

Dance with someone! If you weren’t able to find a dance partner at your table, it’s not too late to find someone to dance around with if someone’s partner looks like they might enjoy a quick break from dancing.

Remember why you are there.  In the end, the event isn’t really about you. You are there to celebrate a special life event for the happy couple. Weddings are just big, fun parties and if you go into it with a positive attitude – we promise you will have an amazing, memorable time!
